Jason Monk,  co-founder and owner of Easy Rider Cycling, has been obsessed with cycling from an early age.

His love for the bike started with exploring the neighborhood. Jason’s cycling adventures grew from there to include nearly everything you can do on two wheels; racing BMX, Triathalon, Mountain Biking, Road Racing, Cyclocross, and as a primary means of transportation.

Growing up in Australia, Jason has lived in Kentucky for more than 10 years, and has a deep appreciation for the beauty and soul of this area. He brings to Easy Rider a wide variety of  experience in cycling education and  leadership, including serving as a Ride Leader for the Bluegrass Cycling Club, leading and planning group rides and local cycling events, teaching Traffic Skills 101 classes for the League of American Bicyclists, teaching beginner cycling classes for adults and children at the YMCA, and running cyclocross clinics.

Jason has a natural love of and curiosity for traveling and exploring that is evident in the Easy Rider Cycling trip offerings. Growing up on the other side of the world, backpacking through Europe, and circumnavigating the world twice, he knows how to make your trip comfortable yet challenging at any level.

Jason co-founded Easy Rider cycling along with Sam Janes and Brad Flowers in 2013. The trio began running local cyclocross, and Mountain Bike events, before evolving into a bike touring company in 2016.
